BURNLEY BUBINGA - CLASSIC DISTORTION
Don’t mistake Mr. Burnley for an overdrive – you’ll just make him angrier. Bogner’s Burnley feeds its Neve transformer hot coals so that you can transform your mortal guitar tone into fire-breathing pandemonium. Inside this stately looking box with its proper level, gain and tone knobs and its deceiving little Fat/Tight switch lies seven levels of sweet hot wretchedness – and if that doesn’t make you sweat, go out and buy yourself an overdrive, dweeb.
Reinhold’s Burnley incorporates an audio transformer created exclusively for Bogner by Mr. Rupert Neve. The sonic bounty from this mystical pairing is remarkable - rich, buttery tones, ultra-dynamic response and a stunning, three-dimensional quality similarly found in legendary mixing consoles of the 1960’s.
Rupert Neve is a living legend renowned for having designed professional recording equipment and early large format mixing consoles all of which feature outstanding sound, due in part to his transformer-coupled inputs and outputs. He has been credited as the man who “made” the recording console, was the third person to receive a Lifetime Achievement Technical Grammy Award and became an inducted member of the Mix Hall of Fame in 1989. Neve was named Man of the Century by Studio Sound Magazine in 1999 and was selected by his peers as the number one audio personality of the 20th century.
